ECI works in conjunction with AGI, a non-profit educational travel organization. With additional offices in Europe & Costa Rica, we are dedicated to promoting language learning and intercultural understanding between young people throughout the world.

ECI’s staff and volunteers are highly trained professionals with a background in education who have successfully organized educational travel programs in Spain, France, Costa Rica & the US since 1998.

At ECI we believe passionately in creating opportunities for students to practice their language skills in authentic settings. Here is how we deliver these opportunities:

Host family immersion week

True language and cultural immersion living with a welcoming family. An amazing opportunity to live life as a French or Spanish teenager!

Language partners

Unique to ECI’s teen summer abroad programs. Experience Spanish or French culture & conversation with local university students.

Hands-on activities & excursions

Ziplining through the rainforest, an afternoon of kayaking, relaxing in Arab baths, playing soccer with locals, dance lessons, cooking classes, outdoor concerts and more! We select activities that will enrich your experience abroad.

  2. Choosing only the most qualified chaperones, most of whom are experienced high school foreign language teachers, to travel abroad with our students

  5. Organizing hands-on and unique cultural activities to enrich each itinerary
  6. Ensuring that all types of housing, including hotels and dorms, are quality and meet the needs of our students
  7. Always being available for students, teachers, parents, and host families to answer questions or address concerns
