Tahoe Visit, Stanford, and Tesla Motors

Highlights from the end of the trip include a visit to Google headquarters, her family’s visit to Tahoe, a Stanford school visit, and checking out the electric roadsters at Tesla Motors. Students also visited the Gold Rush History museum and had a tour of a local Police and Fire station. Read More

Despite the rain, Klasse 7 has enjoyed another busy week in Bay Area. They visited the United Nations Plaza, Civic Center, and the beautiful City Hall. They toured the de Young Museum, visited the Personal Computing Museum, and prepared for a fun Farewell Party. Today the group got a very special tour of Google! So much to see in San Francisco. Kirsten shares a new update on Klasse 7′s time in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Austrian students spent the weekend with their host families, visiting locations like the Pacific Ocean beaches, the Exploratorium Museum, or the Tech Museum in San Jose. Monday the students shadowed at Gunn High School. Next they visited Alcatraz, Fisherman’s Wharf, and the Hard Rock Cafe. Read More

Update from Local Leader Jennifer for Klasse 7 on the early part of this week. After fun times with their host families over the weekend, Monday was a day of shadowing at Palo Alto High School. Jennifer shares updates from the first weekend in the San Francisco Bay Area for Klasse 7. While it was rainy much of the time, our Austrian friends enjoyed their time despite the weather. Some traveled with their host family to Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, or Monterey Bay. Others enjoyed local fun like movies, laser tag, and bowling. Read More
