- Each language school is committed to providing a quality foreign language learning experience for our students.
- Small class environment where you'll receive personalized feedback tailored to your level of French proficiency.
Our Partner Language School in Aix-en Provence: Institute for American Universities
The ECI commitment to high standards also extends to our language program at Institute for American Universities. We have taken great care to ensure that the classes meet all the ECI quality requirements. The faculty members are a vital and talented group. Most have studied and/or taught in more than one country. Many are university professors at l'Universitè d'Aix-Marseille or l'Universitè d'Avignon during the school year. Because the teachers have chosen to live in the south of France, they are able to communicate their enthusiasm for the region and illuminate the local culture for our students.
Key points about the program:
- Our ECI classes have approximately 10 participants, allowing the students a lot of personal interaction & attention.
- There is a 90-minute class in conversation and a 90-minute class in grammar each morning, Monday through Friday.
- Our students take a placement test, and they are divided into one of three levels.
- Students have the opportunity to earn up to three semester units of credit* through Truman State University, a fully accredited US university. These credits are transferable to most accredited universities and colleges in the United States.
*There is an additional cost for the university credit option.
Lyon program and Customized Total Immersion students do not attend language school classes.
